How to choose your Chronomaster Sport?

The Chronomaster Sport is the flagship chronograph of the Chronomaster family: 41 mm, El Primero 3600 calibre measuring to 1/10th of a second, integrated bracelet and iconic tricolour dial. The collection includes 11 references across three families.

  • Steel ★ (~175 g), classic, versatile version, standard indexes and dial, Sport entry point, from €11,500 to €16,000.
  • Titanium (~115 g), ultra-light, grey finish, from €15,000 to €20,000.
  • Special editions (variable weight), exclusive dials, rare materials, from €20,000 to €45,100.

The choice mainly comes down to tricolour dial colour (blue/silver/brown, green/silver/brown, black) and case material. All models offer 60 hours of power reserve. Prices range from €11,500 to €45,100.

Which Chronomaster Sport for which profile?

  • First purchase, versatility → Chronomaster Sport steel blue/silver dial
  • Maximum comfort, light wear → Chronomaster Sport titanium
  • Collecting, rarity → Chronomaster Sport special edition

The Auberi insight: the Chronomaster Sport in steel with blue and silver dial is our number-one ZENITH reference in Nice and Monaco. It combines the iconic El Primero tricolour character, unmatched daily versatility and an entry price consistent with direct competition (Rolex Daytona, Patek Nautilus chronograph). The titanium version appeals to clients sensitive to on-wrist comfort; for a more classic tri-compax style, discover the Chronomaster Original.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Chronomaster Sport and the Rolex Daytona?

Both are iconic 41 mm automatic chronographs. The Daytona uses calibre 4130 (28,800 vph, 72 h power reserve); the Sport uses El Primero 3600 (36,000 vph, 60 h). The Sport measures to 1/10th second; the Daytona to 1/5th. The Daytona commands a stronger secondary market premium. The Sport is available immediately at Auberi, with no waiting list.

Can the integrated bracelet of the Chronomaster Sport be changed?

The Chronomaster Sport's integrated "oyster-sport" bracelet is one of its strong style statements. It can be replaced with an alternative steel bracelet or an official ZENITH rubber strap. Ask in-store for compatible options according to the exact reference.

Is the Chronomaster Sport COSC certified?

Yes. The El Primero 3600 calibre is COSC-certified (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute): −4 / +6 seconds per day tolerance. Given its high frequency (5 Hz), this certification is particularly meaningful, it is more difficult to achieve COSC certification at 36,000 vph than at 28,800 vph.

How many Chronomaster Sport references are there?

The Chronomaster Sport range includes 11 references in the ZENITH catalogue. At Auberi, availability varies by delivery. The most requested colourways (blue/silver, green) may sometimes require a special order. Contact our boutique to check current stock.

Does the Chronomaster Sport appreciate in value?

Certain limited editions and collaborations (Capsule, Artist series) have seen significant appreciation on the secondary market. Standard steel versions typically trade close to new retail price when recent and in good condition. Appreciation potential depends on the edition, condition and original documents.
