How to choose your ZENITH men's watch?

Four criteria guide your choice: diameter, collection, function and style. ZENITH offers 44 men's references across three families: Chronomaster (chronograph, 38–42 mm), Defy (sport, 41–45 mm) and Pilot (aviation, 40–43 mm). For an average wrist (17–18 cm / 6.7–7 in), 41 mm is the versatile standard. Cases of 38–40 mm suit slimmer wrists and slip easily under a shirt cuff. For function, the El Primero chronograph is the brand's signature; if you don't use the chronograph daily, the automatic Defy Skyline carries the brand's DNA in a cleaner package. Prices start at €9,500.

In practice, the best-seller is the Chronomaster Sport ★ in 41 mm (El Primero 3600 calibre, sport chronograph, €11,500 to €45,100), followed by the Chronomaster Original in 38 or 40 mm (classic chronograph, €10,300 to €24,700). The Defy Skyline in 41 mm, sport and daily wear, trades between €9,800 and €16,500, while the more radical 45 mm Defy Extreme reaches around €20,200. The 43 mm Pilot Big Date Flyback, dedicated to aviation, sits around €12,800.

Which ZENITH men's watch for which profile?

  • Iconic chronograph / standard wrist → Chronomaster Sport 41 mm
  • Classic style, slim wrist → Chronomaster Original 38 mm
  • Daily sport without chronograph → automatic Defy Skyline
  • Large wrist, extreme look → Defy Extreme 45 mm
  • Aviation and big date → Pilot Big Date Flyback
  • Vintage, retro spirit → Chronomaster Revival

The Auberi insight: in our Nice and Monaco boutiques, 41 mm accounts for the vast majority of men's ZENITH sales. The Chronomaster Sport 41 mm is the absolute reference, its El Primero tricolour dial is instantly recognisable and the 60-hour power reserve is a genuine daily advantage.

Frequently asked questions

What ZENITH case size for a 17 cm wrist?

A 40–41 mm case is ideal for a 17 cm (6.7 in) wrist circumference. The 41 mm diameter of the Chronomaster Sport or Defy Skyline fits perfectly without overhanging the wrist bone. For an 18 cm wrist or larger, the 43 mm Pilot is also workable.

ZENITH or Omega Speedmaster, which to choose?

Both are iconic automatic chronographs. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch uses a manual calibre; the ZENITH Chronomaster Sport is automatic. ZENITH bets on 1/10th-second performance; Omega on lunar heritage. Try both in-store: the feel on the wrist is decisive.

Are all ZENITH men's watches chronographs?

No. The ZENITH range includes automatic watches without a chronograph: the Defy Skyline (automatic three-hand), the Pilot Automatic and some Chronomaster Original models with a full calendar. The chronograph dominates the range but is not mandatory.

What water resistance do ZENITH men's watches offer?

Most men's models are water-resistant to 100 m, sufficient for swimming, freediving or water sports. The Defy Extreme reaches 200 m. For regular scuba diving, the ISO 6425 standard (minimum 200 m) is recommended.

Can I pay for a ZENITH men's watch in instalments at Auberi?

Yes. Auberi offers payment in 3, 4 or 10 instalments (subject to conditions) via Alma, up to €15,000. For watches above this amount, contact our customer service to explore available financing options.
