Will the bronze case rust or deteriorate?
No. Bronze does not rust, it patinas. The patina is a natural surface oxidation that does not compromise the case's integrity. It can be removed by polishing if you prefer to restore the original golden-bronze finish. To slow patina development, rinse the case after salt water or perspiration exposure. Most wearers let the patina form naturally, that is precisely what makes the watch unique to them.
Is the BB Bronze a genuine dive watch?
Yes, water-resistant to 200 m, unidirectional aluminium bezel, adequate for recreational diving. Bronze is also historically used in professional diving instruments. For intensive technical diving, the Tudor titanium range (Pelagos, 500 m, lighter weight) remains the reference.
What is the difference between the BB Bronze (43 mm) and the Black Bay 68 (43 mm)?
Both measure 43 mm, but the material sets them worlds apart. The BB68 is in steel, modern, satin-polished, timeless. The BB Bronze is in bronze, living, patinating, vintage at heart. The BB68 has a bidirectional bezel; the BB Bronze has a unidirectional bezel (dive standard). They are two very different expressions of the large-format Tudor.
