Description
The light blue dial represents the texture of snow melting as spring approaches on Mount Iwate, the famous 2,038-metre peak overlooking the Shizukuishi Studio, where all Grand Seiko mechanical models are manufactured.
For the first time at Grand Seiko, Ever-Brilliant Steel* is used not only for the case, but also for the bracelet. This high-grade steel has a brilliant appearance and a very high level of corrosion resistance, guaranteeing the watch's durability.
At Grand Seiko, the Japanese watchmaking house founded in 1960, every timepiece expresses “The Nature of Time”, an aesthetic inspired by Japan's seasons and landscapes, hand-finished by the Takumi. The beating heart of Grand Seiko, the Heritage Collection revives the lines of the house's earliest timepieces, the 44GS and 62GS from 1967, reinterpreted with today's movements and craftsmanship — including Zaratsu polishing, the house's signature hand-finishing technique.
The steel case houses a mechanical automatic movement, displaying the date, for a 55-hour power reserve and 100m (10 bar) water resistance. The steel strap closes with a deployant buckle. 5-year international warranty.
