Description
Designed for the waves and the seaside. The Superocean Heritage is not an ordinary dive watch and never has been. When Breitling first launched it in 1957, it stood out from the other dive watches of the time. The Ref. 1004 model (a clean three-hand watch) and the Ref. 807 model (the world's first diving chronograph) did not merely make it possible to explore the underwater world; they were also designed to do so in style. The spear- and arrow-shaped hands, the rotating anodised aluminium bezel and the naturally clean proportions made it the favourite model of adventurers around the world with a passion for the sea and for style. Today, this philosophy remains at the heart of the Superocean Heritage. Its contemporary design still holds the spirit of the 1950s. The latest Superocean Heritage takes up all the key elements of the original and perfects them. For the first time, the collection is equipped with the B31 movement, Breitling's exclusive three-hand manufacture calibre. A ceramic-inlaid bezel adds exceptional scratch resistance, while the integrated metal mesh or braided rubber straps fit the case perfectly and are secured by folding clasps for a clean, watertight finish. The discreet date window at six o'clock and the original hands (arrow for the hours, spear for the minutes) ensure legibility and balance, on the surface as well as at depth.
