A GMT shows a second timezone via a 24 h hand or rotating disc. A Worldtimer displays all 24 timezones simultaneously on an outer rotating disc. Worldtimer suits frequent multi-timezone travellers; classic GMT is enough to track a single reference timezone (HQ, family).

What does Master Chronometer METAS certification mean?

METAS (Swiss metrology institute) imposes 8 post-COSC tests: -0/+5 s/day cased precision, 15,000 gauss antimagnetism, water resistance, power reserve. It's the strictest standard in luxury watchmaking, more demanding than COSC alone. All Omega Master Chronometer pieces meet it.

Is the Worldtimer's grand feu enamel dial fragile?

Grand feu enamel, fired at 800°C, doesn't scratch or fade over time — it remains more stable than classic lacquers. However, a hard knock can crack it, its only vulnerability. It's an exceptional dial that partly justifies the price gap vs a standard GMT.

Is the 24 h hand independently adjustable?

On the Aqua Terra GMT calibre 8605, yes: "true GMT" system with local hour-jumping (crown position 1 advances local hour in 1 h clicks without touching minutes or 24 h). Very practical for travellers. The Worldtimer works via outer disc rotation.
