Description
Grand Seiko's first automatic chronograph, the Tentagraph is powered by the new caliber 9SC5, which uses the revolutionary High-Beat caliber 9SA5 as its base. This chronograph is emblematic of the next generation of Grand Seiko sports watches, as much for its technological innovation as for its Evolution 9 design.
Offering a 72-hour power reserve, the Tentagraph becomes the 10 vibrations per second chronograph with the longest power reserve available on the market in 2023.
Adorned in a blue hue, the dial features the Mount Iwate motif, a true source of inspiration for the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi watchmakers, who see it from the windows of their workshops.
At Grand Seiko, the Japanese watchmaking house founded in 1960, every timepiece expresses “The Nature of Time”, an aesthetic inspired by Japan's seasons and landscapes, hand-finished by the Takumi. The Evolution 9 Collection, whose design style was unveiled in 2020, fuses the classic Grand Seiko spirit with a subtle interplay of light and shadow across the case and dial, translating Japanese aesthetics into a thoroughly contemporary language. This reference SLGC001 is named Tentagraph, the house's first high-beat mechanical chronograph.
The titanium case houses a mechanical automatic movement, displaying a chronograph, for a 72-hour power reserve and 100m (10 bar) water resistance. The titanium strap closes with a deployant buckle, under sapphire crystal. 5-year international warranty.
