Which gold is the most sought-after, the most on-trend?
White gold takes the top spot, remaining ever in vogue. Rose gold, meanwhile, is growing increasingly fashionable, though it still ranks just behind white gold. In third position comes yellow gold, which is seeing a steady decline in demand in today's market.
What Is the Most Trending Gemstone?
The diamond, of course, is synonymous with timelessness and elegance. It is a stone that can be effortlessly worn every day.
What Are the Most In-Demand Jewels?
Generally speaking, the most sought-after piece of jewellery is the white gold diamond solitaire ring. It is a ring that lends itself to effortless everyday wear and, above all, it is the traditional piece chosen to celebrate a union.
In terms of necklaces, the solitaire pendant reigns supreme as well. As for earrings, stud earrings are particularly favoured. Rings claim the top position, followed by earrings, necklaces, and finally bracelets, which remain by far the least requested category.
What Are the Steps and Timeline Involved in Creating a Bespoke Jewel?
First, the artisan consults with the client to determine whether they have a reference image in mind to draw inspiration from. If not, by asking questions and gaining an understanding of their tastes, the artisan presents one or more design proposals in the form of sketches.
Once the sketch has been finalised and the client has made their selection, the artisan creates a model carved and sculpted from a solid block of wax. The client is then invited to return and try on the model to confirm their choice, at which point the artisan sends the prototype to the caster to proceed with the fabrication of the setting. This is followed by the post-casting finishing stage, carried out by the artisan, during which all casting imperfections are removed and the collets are prepared ahead of the final step: the stone setting. The creation of a bespoke piece of jewellery typically requires four to five weeks — a remarkably swift turnaround for work executed entirely by hand.
How to care for your jewellery?
To keep your jewelry in pristine condition, the tried-and-true grandmother's method remains the most effective: a soft toothbrush with a little dish soap or toothpaste, used with warm water. Be sure to dilute the toothpaste thoroughly to prevent it from becoming lodged in the intricate details of the piece.
What is your favourite creation?
The favorite creation of our artisan André: a bespoke ring featuring an intertwined flower motif crafted entirely in gold and diamond, which he made for a loyal client of the house. She had brought him stones she no longer wore, hoping to create a new ring. Our artisan presented her with a proposal using a plasticine model, which she immediately accepted.
What gives this project—and this ring—its unique character is the trust placed in the artisan's creativity. Don't forget about the jewelry hidden away in your closet. Give it a new life—come visit our master jeweler with your ideas, and the rest is taken care of.
