Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre's most recognisable piece

Created in 1931, the Reverso owes its name to its case, which flips 180°, originally designed to protect the crystal during polo matches played by British officers stationed in India. The original commission, placed by businessman César de Trey, gave rise to an Art Deco case that has remained the manufacture's visual signature ever since. According to the house's own history, a Reverso was even commissioned by the Maharaja of Kapurthala.

At Auberi, the Reverso family comes in several lines: the Reverso Classic for an accessible entry point, the Reverso Tribute for maximum fidelity to the original model, and the Reverso One for an elongated format designed for women.

Which Reverso line to choose: Classic, Tribute or One?

  • First Reverso purchase → Reverso Classic
  • Fidelity to the 1931 model → Reverso Tribute
  • Feminine format → Reverso One
  • Personalised case back (engraving, secondary dial) → all lines

The Auberi view: the Reverso remains the most requested piece in-store on the French Riviera, sought both by Art Deco enthusiasts and by buyers discovering the manufacture.
