Description
True to OMEGA’s heritage of space exploration, the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black” features a 44.25 mm case in polished and satin-finished black ceramic. The satin-finished bezel, also in black ceramic, has a laser-engraved tachymeter scale coated with Grand Feu enamel. Beneath the front sapphire crystal, the ceramic dial has been laser-blasted and includes a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute and 12-hour counter at 3 o’clock, and a date window at 6 o’clock. All hands and beveled hour markers are coated in black and coated with Super-LumiNova (green luminescence). Visible through the case back, the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 self-winding movement boasts a special finish, including a rotor, mainplate, and bridges coated in matte black, as well as lacquered engravings. The watch is mounted on a black nylon strap with a ceramic folding clasp and a ceramicized titanium spring-loaded folding clasp.
