Southeast of the Shinshu Watch Studio, where Spring Drive watches are made, the gentle sound of the waters of Lake Suwa is a constant source of inspiration for Grand Seiko’s master watchmakers. The dial of the new Grand Seiko Spring Drive SLGA021 model evokes the surface of this body of water when, stirred by the wind in the calm of dawn, it moves in slight undulations. Here, the dark blue color of the water offers a spectrum with multiple nuances depending on the angle at which the light is reflected. The seconds hand, sliding gently above the dial, completes this silent harmony. This timepiece is powered by the Spring Drive 5 Days caliber 9RA2, assembled by the skilled master craftsmen at Shinshu Watch Studio and designed to last up to approximately 120 hours (5 days) when fully wound. Like the gentle movement of water, the seconds hand moves to the rhythm of time, made possible by the Spring Drive movement.
