Grand Seiko SBGA413 Watch

A classic Grand Seiko design with a dial capturing a key moment in the Japanese seasonal calendar. The SBGA413 is a modern reinterpretation of the famous 62GS from 1967. The 62GS was not only Grand Seiko’s first watch with an automatic movement , it was also, with the 44GS released the same year, the watch which expressed for the first time the grammar of design, the Grand Seiko style, which still shapes all Grand Seiko designs today. Like the 1967 62GS, this modern reinterpretation features sharp edges, flat surfaces that only Zaratsu polishing can create, and a wide dial aperture achieved through bezel-less construction. Observing the dial closely is like experiencing the Hana-Ikada, after the spring equinox, Shunbun, when cherry petals scattered by the wind cover the surface of the river.
