THE MAIN STAGES IN REPAIRING YOUR WATCH

01

Step 1: Repairing your watches

Step 1: Repairing your watches

Minor repairs are carried out directly in the workshop of our AUBERI CAP 3000 boutique by our master watchmakers, accredited by the leading watchmakers (Rolex, Cartier, Omega Breitling...). Repairs and checks are carried out as quickly as possible.

02

Step 2: Bracelet sizing or replacement

Step 2: Bracelet sizing or replacement

At the time of purchase, we adjust the strap of your timepiece to the size of your wrist. This service is free of charge and can also be carried out for watches purchased online. Boutique AUBERI can also modernize your watch by simply changing its strap, whether to replace the worn-out original or to complete your wardrobe.

03

Step 3: Inspecting and cleaning your watch

Step 3: Inspecting and cleaning your watch

Because the longevity of your timepiece depends on regular maintenance, we offer a fee-based inspection and cleaning service for watches from the brands featured in our AUBERI boutique.

04

Step 4: General overhaul of your watch

Step 4: General overhaul of your watch

A watch needs regular servicing to maintain its function, appearance and value, especially if it is equipped with an automatic movement. When and how this should be done depends on the watch you own, but it's usually between three and five years, depending on the watch manufacturer's recommendations and how often you wear it. A full overhaul service essentially involves dismantling the watch into its constituent parts, then reassembling it.

05

Step 5: Engraving your watch

Step 5: Engraving your watch

There are many ways to personalize your watch, but none as timeless or unique as engraving. Our master watchmakers offer you an engraving service carried out in our workshop with the utmost precision. Here are a few tips on how to care for your watch and help it last longer.

Your watch is much more than a simple accessory: it's associated with personal memories, a part of our heritage and even a sentimental value. There's no secret about it: a fine watch, regularly maintained, will last for decades and generations to come.

KNOW YOUR WATCH

It's important to know the mechanism of the watch you're buying:

quartz: this is a battery-powered watch, so it's important to change it regularly, and not to leave a worn-out battery too long, as this could damage the movement. This maintenance is inexpensive

hand-wound mechanical watches: the principle is to wind the watch's spring every morning via the crown. When there is a certain resistance to the rotation of the crown, this simply means that it is perfectly wound. The latter are more fragile and require regular maintenance.

mechanical self-winding, the winding mechanism of the barrel spring relies on wrist movements and works thanks to the oscillating weight, which in turn arms the spring. To do this, you need to wear your watch every day. If it stops, you can wind the crown up and down (about twenty times) to restore amplitude to the movement and precision to your timepiece.

READ THE MANUAL

Taking the time to read the manual, or asking your advisor to explain in detail how your timepiece works, will help you avoid mistakes and appreciate all its functions.

WEAR YOUR WATCH

Your watch will always look good on your wrist, but wearing it also means maintaining it (for mechanical watches). Indeed, when the watch is not worn for some time, liquids can dry out, harden and cause the movement to malfunction.

There are, however, devices that can reproduce the movement for you. Our sales team will be happy to show you or advise you on suitable models.

HAVE YOUR WATCH SERVICED

You should have your timepiece serviced every 5 to 7 years, depending on the model. Of course, if no particular malfunction is observed. Not all watches are the same, and not all wearers subject them to the same activities. If you regularly put your watch under water (in the shower, for example), you'll need to check its water-resistance every 2 years, as the seals will quickly become damaged.

From replacing a worn strap to repairing a damaged movement, our in-house team of master watchmakers can perform a range of services to keep your watch running as smoothly as the day you first saw it.
