This timepiece is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 62GS, released in 1967, Grand Seiko’s first mechanical watch to feature automatic winding. With its pale pink hue, the Grand Seiko SBGH341 is reminiscent of “Sakura-Kakushi,” a rare sight that evokes the first cherry blossoms hidden by the snows of late winter. The fragility and ephemerality of “Sakura-Kakushi” (“hidden cherry blossoms”) inspired our master craftsmen to create this dial with its subtle patterns and delicate nuances.
