Breitling Avi 1953 Edition watch

In the 1950s, the original Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI shared the spotlight with another Breitling icon, the Navitimer. With its bold design, its engraved rotating bezel and its extremely readable dial, the 765 AVI, a robust and reliable pilot’s watch, immediately became the ideal ally of the Navitimer. Today, the AVI 1953 Edition watch is a luxurious version of the Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI dating from 1953. The entirely black dial, protected by a domed hesalite glass, features the same Arabic numerals as those of the original Co-Pilot with tone-on-tone small seconds, 15-minute and 12-hour counters. The hand-applied Super-LumiNova® has been carefully chosen to recall the original luminescent coating and gives the AVI 1953 Edition an additional vintage touch. The AVI 1953 Edition is equipped with a 41 mm case in 18-carat red gold, its water resistance reaching 3 bars (30 meters). The AVI 1953 Edition owes its operation to the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09 developed in-house. This COSC-certified hand-wound caliber is inspired by the famous Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. It is offered with a vintage-inspired brown leather strap with an 18-carat red gold pin buckle in a limited edition of 253 pieces, each bearing the inscription “ONE OF 253”.
