The 1960s were a decade of experimentation, pleasure, freedom and energy. Whether cruising the roads on a motorcycle or in a sports car, living life at full speed was the order of the day. Willy Breitling sensed this change of pace and set out to create an unconventional chronograph reflecting the enthusiasm of the era. He gave it the name Top Time. This spirited tradition continues today with Breitling teaming up with some of the biggest names in automobiles to create its Top Time models. The Ford Thunderbird was first revealed at the 1954 Detroit Auto Show. It was billed as a fun-to-drive convertible that wouldn’t go unnoticed, thanks to its luxurious design, solid construction and dramatic rear spoiler. . The Top Time B01 Ford Thunderbird features the colors and emblem of the legendary car of the same name, as well as a perforated leather strap with a racing theme, a tachometer to measure speed and contrasting sub-dials “squircle” (half-round, half-square) which evoke the gauges of vintage dashboards.
