The 1960s were a decade of experimentation, pleasure, freedom and energy. Whether cruising the roads on a motorcycle or in a sports car, living life at full speed was the order of the day. Willy Breitling sensed this change of pace and set out to create an unconventional chronograph reflecting the enthusiasm of the era. He gave it the name Top Time. This spirited tradition continues today with Breitling teaming up with some of the biggest names in automobiles to create its Top Time models. Co-created with Deus Ex Machina, the Australian motorcycle and surf lifestyle brand, the Top Time B01 Deus will particularly appeal to bikers, skaters and backpackers who love the freedom to explore the world in their own way and at their own pace . It is adorned with the Deus emblem and its adage, “In benzin veritas”, both present on the dial, as well as a perforated leather strap on the theme of motor racing, a tachometer to measure the speed and contrasting “squircle” sub-dials (half-round, half-square) which evoke the gauge of vintage dashboards. It also features a special lightning-shaped chronograph hand and a worthy engine under the hood: the exceptional Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
