Presented for the first time with a natural mother-of-pearl dial, the Classique 9068 highlights the "codes" of Breguet watchmaking art. Abraham-Louis Breguet established himself in Paris in 1775. In opposition to the Baroque style then in vogue, the sobriety of his creations surprised and pleased. Breguet's neoclassical style, backed by mechanical reliability, attracted prestigious customers, including Queen Marie-Antoinette and later the empresses Josephine and Marie-Louise, and the Duchess of Wellington... In the same quest for simplicity, the dial of the new Classique is set in white mother-of-pearl on a slender case in pink or white gold. For added sparkle, 88 brilliant-cut diamonds illuminate the gold bezel and bracelet attachments. The model beats to the rhythm of an automatic manufacture caliber with essential functions - large seconds in the center and date window at III o'clock.
