Santos Skeleton large model watch, 9611 MC hand-wound mechanical manufacture movement. Steel case, 750/1000 yellow gold bezel, 7-sided crown decorated with a faceted sapphire, blued steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal and caseback. Steel bracelet with "SmartLink" sizing system. Second alligator leather strap, with interchangeable adjustable single-strand folding clasp in steel. Both bracelets are equipped with the "QuickSwitch" interchangeability system. Hours, minutes with skeletonized bridges in the shape of Roman numerals. Individually numbered movement made up of 138 parts including 20 jewels. Movement dimensions: 28 mm x 28 mm, movement thickness: 3.97 mm, balance: 28,800 vibrations/hour, power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Case width: 39.7 mm, thickness: 9.08 mm. Water-resistant to 10 bar (~100 meters). In 1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to read the time in mid-flight. Thus was born one of the first wristwatches, sealing the friendship of two pioneers. Its dial with rounded corners, its harmoniously curved attachments, and its visible screws mark an iconic watch that will be the subject of multiple reinterpretations.
